iahr200x200The International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) and the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) and IAHR have entered into a partnership to advance their mutual goal of supporting water-related scientific research worldwide.

The partnership was ratified on 28 August 2013.

The International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application.

IAHR particularly promotes the advancement and exchange of knowledge through working groups, specialty symposia, congresses, and publications on water resources, river and coastal hydraulics, risk analysis, energy, environment, disaster prevention, industrial processes.

The objectives of applied research, scientific exchange, technology transfer and research management provide an umbrella for all IAHR endeavours.

These goals accord fully with PSIPW's commitment to promote innovation in water-related scientific research, and the two organizations look forward to working together.

Our vision is for the Portal to be a reservoir of information, a community, and a forum where organizations and specialists can share their knowledge and keep abreast of news and events in their areas of specialization.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to researchers, practitioners, organizations, and university departments working in water-related fields
The following applicants are welcome to apply:
1. Research organizations in water-related fields.
2. University departments specialized in water-related areas.
3. Individuals holding PhD or MSC degrees in a water-related field.
4. Individuals holding BS degrees in a water-related field who have made distinguished contributions.
5. Individuals or organizations specialized in space technologies, remote sensing, GIS or other technologies that can be applied to water research and management.
6. Other individuals who are engaged in water-related research, and whose applications are supported by a letter of recommendation from a current member of the Portal.

All membership applications will be evaluated by a panel of experts.
